About our extension

Safe Browsing is a Google Chrome extension that provides you a safe searching experience by turning on the SafeSearch mode in your favourite search engines. Whether you are using Safe Browsing to search at work with colleagues, at home with children, or in an Internet cafe just by yourself, our extension helps you enforce filtering of explicit and hazardous adult content from your search results.

It is important to know that Safe Browsing is not 100% bulletproof and SafeSearch of popular search engines cannot catch everything.

How It Works

STEP 01

The default status of Safe Browsing mode is “On” after you added this extension to your Chrome browser. When the Safe Browsing mode is on, only safe search results will be shown in your search feed. We strongly recommend you to keep your Safe Browsing mode always on to provide a safe search experience.

STEP 02

If you would like to turn off the Safe Browsing mode, you can simply swipe the Safe Browsing mode off by the toggle button.

STEP 03

Changing the Safety Level of our extension by selecting “default” or “high”. When the safety level is selected to be “high”, Safe Browsing will enforce the highest level of content filtering and filter out adult content in text, images, and videos.

STEP 04

Select your preferred search engine from the drop-down menu inside the extension’s action window. After you added our extension to your Chrome browser, Yahoo will become your default search engine. If you want to use a different default search engine, you can simply change it from the extension’s settings.
